The requirement to manage risks in a company or organisation has been recognised for a considerable time. The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations include an explicit requirement for risk to be assessed and recorded where more than 5 people are employed. This popular course is designed to enable delegates to understand the basis of risk assessment and carry out such assessments and is suitable for directors, managers, supervisors, safety officers, safety representatives. Successful candidates will receive a Level 3 certificate from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health following their completion of a work-based risk assessment assignment which may take up to 13 hours private study time following the course.

Note: some experience of health and safety is expected for this course. Beginners should consider the alternative ‘Level 2 Award’ course.
