Behavioural safety goes beyond looking at the safety of the work area and equipment to examine why people think, feel and behave in a particular way. It can be a powerful tool in improving health and safety performance providing that other aspects of safety management are in place. The day explains the concepts, history and modern developments of behavioural safety. It also examines ways in which the philosophy has been introduced to improve health and safety culture and performance in organisations.
