NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health at Wata
12 days including examinations – Unitised Course
This course is essential for managers, supervisors, safety officers/representatives and other employees who have responsibility, full or part-time, for assisting their company in implementing or maintaining health and safety measures to comply with legislation. Successful delegates, in addition to receiving their NEBOSH Unit Certificates, are eligible to apply to IOSH to use the designatory letters Tech IOSH and also become Associate Members of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and use designatory letters AIIRSM (needs full certificate).
The unitised course is the ideal preparation for embarking upon further NEBOSH certificate courses (see below). It is also an excellent foundation from which to start the NEBOSH Diploma – the route to a professional qualification and corporate membership of IOSH.
The syllabus is divided into three units - two taught units NGC1 and NGC2 (elements below), and a supervised practical assessment at the WATA training centre (Unit NGC3). A NEBOSH certificate is awarded for successful completion of each unit.
Unit NGC1 is the foundation block from which delegates can then take the NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety & Risk Management or gain exemption from Week 1 of the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety & Health.
Unit NGC2 completes the full NEBOSH National General Certificate and can be taken immediately following Unit NGC1 or deferred to a later date.
