This five day course is aimed at giving delegates sufficient electrical understanding to enable them to work safely in a domestic installation environment.
Content:- Basic electrical principles (Ohms Law, Power Law)
- Circuit protection devices, e.g. fuses and circuit breakers
- Cable construction and selection
- Good workmanship practice in building lighting and power circuits
- Testing circuits
- Interpretation of results, drawings and technical data
- Electrical safety and isolation procedures
This course is recommended for those delegates who wish to change careers; or who have little electrical experience and precedes the VRQ Domestic Electrical Installer Certificate course.
