Requirements for Electrical Installations IEE Wiring Regulations (17th Edition) BS7671:2008 Amendment No 1

Half day

This half day course is designed for contractors who currently undertake electrical work and need to update their knowledge of the first amendment to the IET Wiring Regulations, 17th Edition.  Among the many amendments will be a whole new section on Part 7 on medical locations.

What is new/changing?  Measures against electromagnetic disturbances, Section 444.  Devices for protection against over voltage (surge protection), Section 534.  Medical locations, Section 710.  Operating or maintenance gangways, Section 729.  Model forms for certification and reporting, Appendix 6.  The amendment introduces an electrical installation condition report, which replaces the periodic inspection report.  (All persons involved in the periodic inspection of electrical installations need to be familiar with this).
