This course gives an introduction to the theory of DC and AC generators and motors and associated starters, including star/delta, soft start and various braking systems. Also included are methods of installation and testing of motors, followed by build projects for star/delta, soft start and injection brake systems. The first half of the Electricity at Work Regulations are covered in the course.
