This course is designed to introduce the theory and use of variable speed drives, as well as auto transformer and rotor resistive starters. Practical exercises include control panel build of combined soft start/injection braking and AC motor inverter control with parameter set up and input variations. A range of emergency stop systems is also included. The final half of the Electricity at Work Regulations is covered in the course.
