This popular unitised qualification is ideal for those with construction management responsibilities and also for those who are required to provide routine, day-to-day advice on health, safety and welfare in construction work.

General to Construction Conversion.  Unit NGC1 also forms part of the NEBOSH National General Certificate or Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management.  Delegates who have already achieved this Unit as part of either qualification within the last five years can count it towards achieving their National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety and can be exempted from week 1 and just attend weeks 2 and 3.  Unit A of the National Diploma achieved within the last five years can also count towards the NGC1 but the result for this Unit is capped at a pass grade.

Candidates for NCC1 and NCC2 are required to complete an application form to confirm eligibility for this exemption.

The Unitised NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health and Safety offers a shortened route to the full certificate for those who have already attained the NEBOSH National General Certificate, NEBOSH Diploma Part 1 or 2 or Unit A of the NEBOSH National Diploma within the last five years.  These delegates can join the course for Units NCC1 and NCC2 (weeks 2 and 3 of the course) and gain an exemption from week 1 (Unit NGC1).
Where delegates do not possess the above entry criteria it will be necessary either to attend the full three week course or to complete Unit NGC1 prior to attending the course.  This can be met by attending week 1 of the NEBOSH National General Certificate and sitting the first examination paper.  This course is run every month at WATA. Please contact the Health and Safety administration section for further details.

This course is approved under the ELCAS Scheme.
