What does the course cover?
This Apprenticeship is designed for people who want to become a skilled scaffolder accredited under the Construction Industry Scaffold Record Scheme (CISRS) and capable of pursuing a career in the construction industry. The course reflects the need for apprentices to have a good understanding of the industry as well as practical skills in scaffolding techniques.
Your Apprenticeship will cover safe working practices in construction, erect and dismantle of basic scaffold structures, erect and dismantle Mobile Towers, knowledge of building methods and construction technology, safe use of harness and fall prevention methods and manual handling in the scaffolding industry. You will also achieve CISRS scaffolder status.
On completion of the programme you will achieve:
- Level 2 Diploma in Scaffolding
- NVQ Diploma Level 2 in Accessing Operations and Rigging (Construction) Scaffolding
- Mobile Tower Certificate
- Award in Employee Rights and Responsibilities
- Maths & English Level 1 (Functional Skills)
- CISRS Industry Training Certification
- CISRS Scaffolder Card
Apprentices will gain knowledge and skills in understanding and interpreting information, estimating materials and resources, construction and dismantling methods, elements of scaffolding drawings and design
The course is assessed by classroom based theory and practical site based activities.
