ELC’s are available in two tiers: You must accumulate 4 years of eligible service to claim the Lower Tier and 8 years eligible service to claim the Upper Tier.
Lower Tier: 80% of course fees, up to the maximum of £1000.00
Upper Tier: 80% of course fees, up to the maximum of £2000.00
Each eligible claimant may make a total of 3 claims which can include claims in both lower and upper tier but must not exceed three claims in total.
Only one claim may be made for learning activities commencing in any one financial year.
Making a claim
1. Provisionally book your course with WATA
2. Download the Enhanced Learning Credits Form from the ELC Website
3. Submit your form to your Education/ Resettlement Advisor (provider number 1495)
4. Ensure the form is submitted at least 25 days before the course starts
5. On receipt of your Claim Authorisation Note (CAN) present it to WATA to book your course
