Free 2-week training programme

Are you, or someone you know, looking to develop a career instructions?

The Government, together with other partners, is investing £1.5bn in the A14 project alone which is
expected bring 2,500 jobs locally.  West Anglia Training Association (WATA) supported by Highways England and The A14 Project are recruiting people for a FREE 2-week training programme to help
provide the skills and basic qualification to introduce people who are unemployed or looking for a
career change.

The programme will cover:

  • Introduction to tools, construction and site activities, Health & Safety and equipment
  • Range of sessions including CV writing, personal development and interview skills
  • Opportunity to gain CSCS card – your gateway to working on a construction site
  • Practical dumper truck and plant experience.

The course is free.  All you need is the commitment to complete the course.
Transport will be provided from Huntingdon Station each day during the programme.

You will need a current full driving license to apply for the course and the right to work in the UK.

Courses start on Mondays 6 February, 20 February, 6 March and 20 March.
2 weeks (Mon – Fri) 8.45am – 4.15pm at WATA’s site in Old Houghton Road, Hartford,
Huntingdon PE29 1YB.
